Maine State Police Friday released more than 3,000 pages of investigative documents related to the Lewiston shooting and response.That includes an FBI memo from a crisis negotiation team with details federal officials knew about shooter Robert Card during the two-day manhunt.The memo notes that Card was part of a cornhole and bowling group until Feb. 2023, months before the shooting. Cornhole tournaments were held at Schemengee's Bar and Grille and Just-In-Time hosted bowling groups.The memo notes that Card "has PTSD and delusions" and has specifically mentioned several locations where he claims he was accused of being a pedophile. That includes claiming employees at the Country Kitchen Bakery Outlet in Hudson, NH, where, on Oct. 19, 2023, he tells employees that he might snap on them because he called him a pedophile.The memo also notes that there is another person with the same name as Card on the sex offender registry and that people started teasing that it was him. It was around this same time, the memo says, that he started hearing voices.The memo notes that, based on an interview, Card's ex-girlfriend, who had broken up with Card, was supposed to be at the bowling alley the night of the shooting but was not.A handwritten note included in the documents released Friday, written by Card, says "Love you and enjoy your life. Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story I guess.
