James Edward "Jim" Neil, 69, longtime resident of Akron, died May 19 at Harpeth Terrace Nursing Home in Franklin, after an extended illness. A native of Knoxville, he the son of the late Edward and Mary Stewart Neil. He was a retired maintenance worker and a member of the Church of Christ.

He was a veteran of World War Il. is survived by sister, Mrs. Ethel Netle Davis of Franklin, one niece; and one nephew. Services were held at Franklin Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. John Hunter Sneed officiating, on May 21.

Burial was in The Ring Cemetery near Franklin, Tenn. Walter M. Rea WADSWORTH Walter M. Rea, 78, died May 28, at Canterbury Nursing Home, in Alliance, after a brief illness. Mr.

Rea was born in Candor, and resided in Wadsworth most of his life. He was employed at the Ohio Match Company for over 30 years, retiring in 1968. He was the husband of the late, Lorna; and is survived by daughter, Mrs. George (Marceline) Yanok of Alliance; son, Jack of Vincentown, N.J.; nine grandchildren; eight greatStewart Virginia, and Martha Beal grandchildren; half-sisters, Jeanne of Michigan. He was a charter member and past president of the Summit County Machine Shop Group, member of First United Church of Christ, Henry Perkins Lodge No. 611, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Canton, Tadmor Temple Shrine of Akron, and a past president of Tadmor Shrine Chanters of which he was an active member 30 He was also an active member years. of the German-American Club. Stripe Ray K. Stripe, 58, passed away Orlando passed away May 30, after a one-year illness. She was born in Norton, and had lived in the area all her life. Mrs. Thom had retired in 1965 with 43 years service as a school teacher in the Akron Public Schools, where she had taught at Allen and Crouse Schools.
