I'm in the Empire State of New York this week delivering the FBI-LEEDA ELI to a fantastic group of law enforcement leaders. This week's session is taking place in Syracuse, and is being hosted by the SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) College police department. A big thanks to Chief Robert Dugan for hosting us and for being a great LEEDA partner.

It's both Father's Day AND Go Around Sunday!!! Today BOTH flights I took had to do go arounds (aborted landings). In years of traveling weekly, I had perhaps experienced this once or twice, but never twice in a day! What are the odds? The first one was due to a disabled plane on the runway and the other one due to bad vectoring due to tailwind. Thankfully pilots constantly train for this eventuality, but it always jolts you when you are landing and then have to climb fast! Just another weekly commute! Now on to deliver great FBI-LEEDA training to law enforcement leaders in Alabama!Happy Father's Day to all fathers out there, especially those road (and sky) warriors like me! Safe travels!

Spending an awesome week in Colorado Springs, CO! You can tell how much our host agency, El Paso County S.O., is invested in FBI-LEEDA leadership training when on the first day of the week the TOP THREE leaders of an organization of over 500 employees take the time to show up and kick off the class for the week. We had the pleasure of having Sheriff Joseph Roybal, Undersheriff Jeff Kramer, and Chief Deputy Andrew Prehm join us Monday morning. Thanks for hosting us and being a great partner with FBI-LEEDA!

7:00 AM on a regular Sunday morning.....Another week, another airport nightmare...I have flown out of my home airport DFW almost every week for the last 5 years and and I have NEVER seen it this bad....busy yes, mayhem and chaos? Nope! It's all good though, in the end all the waiting and sacrifices are worth traveling all over this great country and meeting outstanding law enforcement and public safety leaders. No matter the circ*mstances FBI-LEEDA instructors will do their best to be there to deliver top notch leadership education. A huge thank you and appreciation to my fellow FBI-LEEDA instructors, true road warriors!

Spending a great week in the beautiful Upstate area of the Palmetto State, South Carolina. What a great group of leaders with outstanding southern hospitality! A big thanks to the Tri County Technical College Police Department and Chief Chris Scott for hosting this week's FBI-LEEDA ELI in their Anderson, SC campus. When next door to Clemson SC, an obligatory trip to the Clemson University campus is in order. Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney is a great leader who after his impromptu appointment as head coach, told his players they needed to be "ALL IN" or get out. This is one of my favorite leadership phrases as it is essential to be fully invested in what we do as leaders in order to make a difference, even if we have to take risks. Courage is essential.... Are you "ALL IN" with your leadership?

A great week in Covina, CA helping an outstanding group of law enforcement leaders reach their leadership goals! The FBI-LEEDA SLI delivers insight and tools designed to help these leaders hit the end zone in this dynamic and unpredictable world that seemingly continues to move the goal posts for our profession. A big thanks to the Covina Police Department and Chief David Povero (a student in this class and Trilogy award recipient this week) for being a great partner and host!

A fantastic week in North Charleston, SC with a great group of leaders from SC, AL, GA, NC, and federal partners! This week's FBI-LEEDA ELI was hosted by the Charleston County Aviation Authority Police Department and Chief Thomas Robertson. A huge thanks to them for being a great partner agency. Speaking of HUGE...across the street from the training facility is Boeing's 787 Dreamliner assembly facility. When in town, it would be a nightmare (pun intended) not to visit the dream liner factory! Of course, the tour would not be complete without an up close inside and outside tour of the HUGE, massive, Boeing 747 Dream Lifter!!! Only 4 of these exist and their job is to transport new 787 parts from all over the world to Charleston. Yes, these marvels can fit a whole set of wings, fuselage etc inside their modified bodies. What an experience! A special shout out to my friends and FBI-LEEDA co instructors Matt fa*giana and Sarah Connolly! :)

Spending yet another fantastic week with the outstanding men and women of THE LAPD!! This week I have the honor of delivering the FBI LEEDA SLI training to a group of 41 first line supervisors. A huge thanks to Interim Chief of Police Dominic Choi and all of the LAPD training staff, including Deputy Chief Reyna and Sgt.
