Interesting read from Swaay.Health Marketing Community. Agree 100%Although #technology often makes things seem easy, #scheduling an appointment can be a complex and confusing process. Each organization has its own set of procedures, governances and cultural nuances, which can make it difficult to navigate. Mix in the various department and physician workflows, with their own distinctive quirks, and it can be quite challenging. Additionally, various payors have their own unique rules, such as co-pays, prior authorizations, and pre-certifications, which add yet another layer of complexity. It's like communicating in different languages, making the process even more complicated. For self-scheduling to be successfully implemented, scheduling standardization is critical. Key items like patient workflows, decision trees, orders management, authorizations and referral practices, and schedule utilization require consensus and standardization. ...and now yet another Tech enabled physician empowerment service offering...this time from Clover health. While it may have some curb appeal the gist of most Tech enabled physician empowerment services is:Not many physicians (individual's practicing primary care) our out seeking more tech solutions. They are 'tech-ed out'.Most tech solutions (those we've viewed) don't feel like empowerment to practitioners, they feel like 'one more thing to do; more more application to learn'In our view, we're not expecting much market uptake in this new offering....kinda like the others...Sizzle then fizzle.https://lnkd.in/gK-sqiDN
