The casino at Grey Eagle Resort and Casino is a sleek and modern facility with luxurious guest rooms, a casino, an event centre, dining options, an indoor pool and slots & table games. It is located on the beautiful Tsuut’ina Nation and is popular amongst Canadian and international musicians.

This is a very busy place. We had meetings all weekend and the service and food was fantastic. We also enjoyed the casino. They had a live band Friday and Saturday in the Casino and they were really good. The buffet smelled good and seemed popular as it was lined up on the weekend. The casino has tons of machines to choose from and everyone who works there is so friendly. Wonderful atmosphere!

The hotel rooms are really clean and really very nice. The best part about this hotel are all the amenities. Free freshly baked cookies at the front desk every afternoon. Different flavored waters daily. They have an extremely convenient little store that's open 24/7 right by the front desk as well. Room service is quite good but more on the expensive side for sure. The casino was fun. Hands down the best part of the hotel or casino is the buffet. Their daily lunch buffet for 18.99 is unbelievable hands down one of the greatest selections I have ever seen in a buffet. The quality of the food is superb. Everything is made fresh. The cooks there go above and beyond. The dessert selection is massive. They always have a carving station that changes daily. Multiple soup options. The seafood night is also incredible

My friend told me about their lunch buffet and just fell in love with the quality and selections. They were freshly made, nothing stale, and their dessert selections are always amazing. I love that they have different tiramisu flavour every single time I was there. Can't wait to eat there again!

Although we stayed at Grey Eagle as fire evacuees for over two weeks we feel lucky that we got to spend time at this place. The resort is very well kept with professional and very polite staff from reception to cleaning. Everyone is responsive to the guests’ needs and go above and beyond! We stayed here long enough and never had or witnessed any negative encounter. The resort is quiet and at the same time within walking distance there is the casino and the event space! There’s also a 24/7 gym and pool/hot tub so everyone can find something to do day and night! There’s ample parking and easy access to anywhere around Calgary. We highly recommend this resort to anyone who’s looking for an excellent stay.Last but not least, the Little Chief restaurant has amazed us with the delicious and gourmet dishes that come within budget. All servers, managers and the chef are great! They made us feel like home during our long stay and we will never forget that!!Thank you for the amazing hospitality all! We will be looking forward to coming back to Grey Eagle in the near future 😉

We went to the Grey Eagle Casino for a concert. This is a very large hotel, restaurant and event complex. It is equipped with a large parking lot, which incidentally was almost full by the time we arrived, and we arrived early. This is a popular place. We did not eat or sleep there, so this review covers only a small part of the services offered. On the positive side:The concert event and venue was well organized, the staff was courteous, the concert hall was well staffed and easy to access. The sound in the concert hall was good as well.On the less desirable side:The smoking section of the casino is located directly across the hallway that separates it from the concert hall. While that hallway is not specifically smokey, the smell of tobacco and the odd waft of weed are very present. While we were there, we wandered into the casino section, an hour or so before the start of the show.In the casino section, we could see a long lineup in front of the buffet restaurant, a good sign, but we did not have time to try it. Maybe another time.My experience at the Grey Eagle Casino could be described as efficient, which is good, but not fantastic. I enjoyed the concert but not being a gambler or a smoker, this is not a place I would go out of my way to visit.

3.5 overall average experience. Good for having a variety of food to cater to different needs and a clean + well maintained area as well.Came for a pre Christmas lunch buffet - gets insanely busy (line up expected to get into the buffet) and due to also their limited seating. Would strongly recommend making reservations if possible.Good variety of food that gets well stocked by the staff members. Sanitizing station before picking up a plate is also a good practice that they set forth here. There are a lot of plastic barriers to prevent a person to breathing into the food also. Flavour for some food was a lot better than others (typical hit or miss) - this also applies to the desserts. Good bang for your buck overall to get full.Dessert options - shockingly a lot (cakes, pudding, jello, fruits and more - it is very inclusive to diabetics or gluten free folks. Just wished there was a classic ice cream bar offering .Ample amount of parking as it is also a casino and not catering just to the buffet. The buffet is situated right behind the entrance /visitor/welcome desk area.

A great casino and even greater buffet! I have not stayed at or played much in the casino so I will only review the buffet portion. I went during Prime Rib Night and the food was great! The selection wasn't massive, but there was a good amount of tasty meat, pasta, sweets, and other desserts that night. I enjoyed nearly everything on offer, and the staff were quick to remove finished plates from our table and the tables themselves were clean when we arrived as well. Pricing was reasonable too and I enjoyed the experience. I recommend checking this buffet out when you're in the area!

Just came back last week. Hotel is amazing. Staff is amazing. Rooms are amazing. The little chief restaurant absolutely amazing. The buffet in the casino sous chef and chef along with the food was absolutely absolutely amazing. They took really good care of me when it came to my allergies. Highly recommend.

I would like to share review for the restaurant here. I had heard a lot about their daily lunch buffet and it was no doubt beyond my expectations. The food was delicious and hot and there were a lot of options, from seafood to roast to vegetarian dishes. The salads were fresh. A good variety of desserts as well. The only marks I would deduct for the noise as mentioned in many other reviews. But again the place was packed and there were big gatherings and get togethers so can't blame them. The buffet staff was courteous and polite. Our server was a nice, Asian lady. She was trying her best to attend to us. I could see she was very busy dealing with a lot of tables and customers so I don't blame her. Overall a very good experience and we would go back again.

Rustom K — Google review

I’ve never stayed at their hotel but had their buffet a few times. Recently we dined during their Prime Rib night (offered on Friday, Saturday, Sunday) for $32.99.Solid offerings for the price. The Prime rib is thoughtfully offered with two different temps (medium well or medium rare). There were all the typical fixings for a traditional roast dinner (mashed potatoes, veg, Yorkshire pudding, horseradish, au jus) and also a few Asian dishes (fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, pork buns, etc) and a couple of soups and stews, noodles, steamed fish. There’s also a salad bar, chocolate fountain and a vast selection of desserts. The buffet includes your choice of coffee, tea, or soda pop too.Service is friendly but can be a bit slow sometimes. However, you definitely can’t beat the price!

Stephanie — Google review

Came back for a visit after a few years. I decided to hit up one of my favorite buffet places in Calgary. Happy to say it did not disappoint. The prime rib was just as good as I remember it, and it's available all weekend. There was the addition of beef ribs as well this time.I love buffets and this is probably one of the best ones I've had. And you can't beat the value with prices of food nowadays.Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to stuff yourself with good food.

This was my first time at this facility. Went to the Randy Bachman concert. Loved the concert. The facility was great! I didn't love the smell of cigarette smoke as I came in (and I was wearing a mask) I heard they were planning on rectifying that. Good move!

Rita J — Google review

I have honestly never stayed in the rooms. My husband and I go on a date night once a month to this casino. We attend the buffet. The place is clean, staff are friendly and the chairs are available for compliments and questions. There is so much food that even a picky eater would find something they like. They have a full array of entree items, a full salad bar, and an amazing dessert bar! The waiters are fast at refilling your drinks and are friendly. The dinner buffet is a must for anyone going to the casino. As to our date night tradition we each have $20 to spend in the casino. There is a non smoking and smoking side in this casino so be aware of that. They have live music to sit and enjoy or play slots while enjoying the music. Would recommend this place for a nice fun date night. When I have experienced more of the casino and resort I will update this review to include the other features of this resort.

We spent 4 nights at the Grey Eagle and I cannot remember the last time I had such consistently amazing service.Every person in every place was phenomenal. Our check in and check out were smooth. The ladies were polite and helpful. We ordered room service one night and the call was answered quickly, food was delivered hot, the people again were lovely. We ate at the restaurant, the Blaze bar, had breakfast where the buffet is served, and had drinks at the Stage lounge. Every single server was fantastic! Everyone was polite, kind, engaged, kept drinks full, cracked jokes (when appropriate) and was all around awesome. The bands were awesome the two nights we got to enjoy them. Our room was clean and spacious, house keeping did a lovely job!We stayed when it was 40 below and they even had staff out helping people to boost their vehicles.I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again! Not sure who the managers are but I hope you are so proud of all of your staff!!

superangie38 — Google review

Had a good time but you weren't allowed to even drink water in the casino after the lounge closed. Only option is to walk back to your room or they said drink from the bathroom tap. There should be a better option as most people were getting dehydrated especially having to wear a mask all night. Perhaps keep some bottled water out and leave some tables open in the lounge or restaurant. Has to be a better option. Otherwise the staff did everything they could so props to them.

This review is for the buffet. We visited the buffet twice during the holidays. Medium selection. Food was well prepared. Not much dessert selection. Service on the first visit was very good all around. On the second visit, we arrived about 90 minutes before lunch ended. The hostess asked if we had a reservation. We did not, and though it was not that busy, she seemed annoyed. The waitress did not come to our table. We had to flag her down to get drinks, and again for refills. Did not check on us at all. The cooks and buffet staff were very friendly. If you are going to the buffet on a holiday, I recommend making a reservation or getting there really early. The Lines were very long

Nandi Y — Google review

Awesome staff, very helpful and polite. We enjoyed the prime rib buffet which we easily booked a table for using the OpenTable app. Quality of the food was excellent, great options, very tasty. We stayed and had fun with the good variety of slot machines. We enjoyed playing bingo in a previous visit - it was our first bingo experience. Staff walked us through purchasing and figuring out the games, they were great - very polite and sweet. The snacks were good too.Our only issue was the smoke. Great for smokers but not so great for non. Despite the smoking section, smoke travels. Our clothes and hair smelled of cigarette smoke when we got home. So as much fun as we had there, as great as the staff is, I had to drop one star for this.

Marie W — Google review

If you like buffets, this is the ideal place! They have special buffet from Wednesday to Saturday and the price is worth it! The food is delicious, and they have everything for any type of diet, the service is very good, what I do recommend is to arrive early or make a reservation if it is available.

I just went here for a concert. Great little venue. They were well organized at the front so very little line and we got in quickly. The sound was great considering the smaller size of the space. Though I would definitely say the crowd seemed more tame than a lot of concerts I've been to elsewhere. My biggest complaint would be the lack of access. Good luck getting out when an event is done. We were dropped off to hopefully save some hassle but to walk to a point where the outflowing traffic wasn't an issue was a considerable walk across the grounds and side roads.

Jason — Google review

Went there for a work conference. The conference was in the hotel so we stayed there. Room was great, clean and spacious. The Indigenous art was amazing! Staff were friendly including security and person at the door. During the conference, we had some issues with the audio but IT come to help right away and got the issue fixed. The food in the casino was okay (I'm sure the restaurant food could have been better). We had left over treats at the conference and staff was happy to box it for us. Definitely hope to go again and explore more!

Great afternoon to spend with Elvis at Noon Year’s Eve. Full house with super seniors draw and at 4pm, draw for $2024. Elvis performance at 12-2pm was great after the buffet. Dim sum and chuck beef roast along with a variety of desserts and soup and salad. Included with your meal was soda pop, tea or coffee drink. The dim sum was fairly good. Super busy, be sure to come earlier to get a spot. Evening buffet is $39.99 and lunch buffet was $21.99 all you can eat, 90 minutes limit. Plenty of free parking. Lots of slot machines along with table games. Grey Eagle, the only casino that has a smoking section. Buffet restaurant and two additional bar restaurants. Hotel attached to casino and bingo is available. Check for day and time.

Lisa C — Google review

The Grey Eagle Resort buffet was fantastic. The people are very friendly and it was very clean and the items were organized. The food was overall delicious and the selection was wonderful. When we arrived the line to the buffet without reservations almost reached the front door - thankfully we had reservations. My suggestion is that there should be a distinct line for people with reservations because it got so busy at the desk with people wanting to come in that it was easy to overlook those with reservations.

This casino is perfect. They allow smoking inside, there is an amazing selection of machines and tables. They constantly have different giveaways and events with low barrier to entry. The hotel is newly renovated and the rooms are large and gorgeous for the price. Not to mention the concert hall which has one of the best sound systems I've ever heard.I cannot say enough good things about this casino. The other night at the casino. Two young gentleman I asked to meet to buy an Apple Watch from me from cash so that I could play in the casino arrived. We were all harassed and bothered by security. Cops were called on us and they called my grandma's house at 4am and woke her up. Your securities stupid and should be fired. My millions and my friends millions will never come through your doors until this is rectified.

Epoplo M — Google review

This is not a 4 - star hotel. The hotel rooms are dated and have a musky order. Carpets were dirty and the Safe didn't work. Best part of the room was the bed (very comfy) and the mini fridge.Staff were easily 5 stars. They were always attentive, friendly, and helpful.

This is my 3rd time at this place and it's always been great until now. Tonight was my first time at the event center beautiful place it was going great until the end of the night. After the show they were doing photos and meet and greats. It was cash only which we did not know about till after well I was short cash once I found out the price so I had to go into the lobby of the event center to the ATM they have there and when I went to go back in they refused to let me in. I was not the only one that wasn't being allowed in. A few others were getting cash or going to the washroom with friends in the line ups. Eventually we got in and one of the female security guards was pissed off and was telling everyone only this person and saying the name is allowed back no.one else and my God she's was rude and nasty. I have worked with security in my past and even dealing with drug crazy people they still didn't respond to people being rude. I was shocked. They didn't ask to see my ticket to prove I was in the event nothing it was a straight up no. Once I was back in the main event was telling us that after the meet and great/photos we had a chance to hang around to get autographs. We'll that didn't happen then had security showing you the exit and then having you leave the building completely. Not impressed with that either and don't even get me started on the light up cups we bought with light up ice cubes. I had.to stand there pulling the light up cube out and dumping melted ice that was barley coving the bottom of the cup. That is a first for me. It's a shame it was a great night until the end. I won't be going back for anything I'm the future if that is how we are going to be treated by the staff. FYI if you don't want people going back in maybe block off the one side for people to go to the washroom if there is something going on and maybe put an ATM inside the event area so people can get cash if they need to for meet and greats or other future things like that.

Hayley C — Google review

10/10 would recommend. We went for prime rib night and the selection was to die for. My husband usually hits their lunch buffets for lunch and says they're great as well. Always something different.

Have stayed at Grey Eagle many times. If you are going to the attached casino or a concert it's a great choice. Service is very good (front desk was great and I think our waitress at the restaurant was the best we have ever had, anywhere) however their marketing systems aren't properly integrated (they offered me an upgrade via email and then told me the upgraded rooms were sold out when i tried to book). Although the rooms are nice and the hotel is clean, the coffee table in our room had a cigarette burn on it and the couch had stains, not acceptable at the rate we paid. Further, the sound at the Everclear concert was the worst we have ever heard at any concert we've attended, including others at Grey Eagle. Could hear every second word at best. We even tried to tell the sound guy who wasn't having any part of the feedback. As a result, average overall.

Kurt L — Google review

First and last time visiting this casino...Went in during a slow period and sat at a vacant gaming table. The dealer didn't seem to be able to explain the rules, nor evidently even understand them, just tapped the table indicating where to place a bet. We had no idea if we were losing, or if the dealer was just taking the chips. After a few minutes, the dealer insisted I place a bet, I told him I did not have it and would need to get more money from an ATM. He seemed upset and kept insisting I put down my non-existent chips. At this point the Pit Boss and two others strolled over and between correcting the dealer and staring at us in an unfriendly manner, told me If I left my seat I'd forfeit the game, risking the entire remaining '$10.00'fortune I had in chips on the table. He stated he was doing me a favour by letting me have the $10.00. I would've been happy to leave my two chips, but figured the dealer or Pit Boss would likely just pocket them for their 'stellar' service. Over all, nothing like the friendly helpful service and staff I've always encountered in any Las Vegas Casino. There are plenty of other local Casinos if you want to give away some hard earned money, and actually enjoy the experience. Odd way for any Casino to act given they would seemingly want new and younger clientele.

Shout out to the staff at Little Chief Restaurant for looking after us for my grandson birthday 👏If you’re looking for a quiet place for birthdays and small group, check out the Little Chief❤️👌They did an amazing job especially our waitress Sadie and thank you Shane Spence. The food was so good, I was impressed with the new menu and the presentation of the food. Mom had her favourite Salmon and the beef short ribs was so good. Martin has the rib eye steak and bone marrow and meat was so soft👍. The bison burger had a picture of a buffalo on it👏I would recommend the food, so delicious 😊First Nation Cuisine at it’s finest 🥰

Military Museums

The Military Museums of Alberta is home to eight distinct museums covering naval, army and air force history from the 1885 Northwest Rebellion to Afghanistan. The museum is divided into collections that depict the social impact of war through art like a mural made up of 240 individual images that depict important times during Canada's military history.

This is the place to be should you want to learn about the history of the Canadian Armed Forces and their courage during the past wars. This museum will remind you of the sacrifices of our heroes past and help you appreciate how far we've come and the cost those heroes had to pay for peace. It was a great experience and we hope to visit again. The tour guide at the Cold War Area was very knowledgeable and gave us a good history of how the Cold War happened.

Could easily spend half a day here! Many exhibits tell the long history of all Canadian military branches. Attendants are very knowledgeable and friendly. A must see!

Went there for Remembrance Day Ceremonies. They hold the ceremonies outside and then the museum opens for everyone to go inside. Admission is free that day (donations are appreciated) and it provides an opportunity for everyone to explore the museum. Expect to spend a few hours there if you're reading and watching the mini video clips. Very educational and always learn something new. Didn't make it through all the exhibits but they are so well done. It was an experience and every year we go, we always take the opportunity to walk through the museum, especially to check out the new exhibit on display at that time. With a retired military veteran along with me during the tour definitely gave a very different perspective on how things were. Very lucky to have the freedoms we have today and remember to not take it for granted. Lest we forget.

That is a well done museum. I cannot believe the detail and the amount of exhibits. We didn't even get to all of it, there was so much to see. Very cool. Also remarkabley clean bathrooms, with at least a chair to feed or breastfeed your little one. I really appreciated that little touch.

Great museum. Nice collection of tanks, armoured vehicles, aircrafts. Amazing ship models. A lot of history of the wars and missions around the globe. Reach collection of uniforms. I spent there around 4.5 hours, one hour outside. There is a place to eat and a small souvenir shop. Museum has a good discount for students. Visiting this museum also gives a discount for the Hangar Museum

I visited this place with my family. Our experience was epic, the atmosphere really reflected the artifacts and the history behind them. The people were very professional and the veterans were so patient. They took their time to expand every picture and model planes and bomb shelters etc.

Great Calgary must see if you are from out of town, also a great place to see if you live in Calgary and want to know some of the military history.Family of four was $32. We spent about 2hrs just looking, we have a 5yr old and he moves, so we didn’t get to read or watch much. If you spend time reading and learning you can loose yourself here for hours on end, in fact, a whole day if you take your time.Snacks in a area vendingVery clean washroomsEasy accessibility also have extra wheelchairs and walkersAmple parkingSpecial events happening on certain daysSome hands on thingsA great museum, been to lots and this one is a top three all time.

Attended the summer skirmish held at the Military Museum. The day was full of fun activities consisting if people in various period costumes role playing and educating. I only had 30 minutes to go through the Museum itself but I was blown away by the quality if it. I'm definitely going back to just the Museum in order to give it the time it deserves.

Clint S — Google review

Great place for the family and kids. Amazing museum to look at and see Canadian history. Not busy and lots of staff ready to help you and tell you things. The only thing is that there is no restaurants nearby but other than that a great museum. We love this place.

It was an ideal place to learn about the history of the Canadian military. The displayed tanks and fighter planes were impressive, and I was overwhelmed by their size and grandeur. There were many interesting exhibits that showcased the evolution of military technology across various eras. The exhibits were accompanied by detailed explanations, allowing me to gain a deep understanding of their historical background and roles. Inside the museum, I was able to learn about the brave acts of Canadian military heroes and their courageous actions, which left a profound impression on me regarding their bravery and spirit of service. Overall, the Military Museum in Calgary offers a rich and comprehensive experience, making it a must-visit place for those interested in history and military affairs.

The museum was very impressive. Unfortunately also a bit depressing. Thanks to Dave, who welcomed us at the entrance and explained a lot in advance. This has greatly simplified the visit to the museum. It is very special and also somewhat exciting to see how the individual areas of the Canadian military have had an influence on the various wars. Very moving also the individual areas where the fallen are commemorated.

Great place to spend time with family. Learn about our history and sacrifices made by our forces to keep us safe. You get to see planes, tanks up close and personalWasnt too busy. There is gift shop and cafe inside but not anything fancy.Easy to spen 4 hours during a holiday

This place is AMAZIIIINNNNGGGG. This was the best military museum I've ever been to. We got in free as my husband is a retired veteran who loved the experience as well. It's great that the museum has all three branches of the military. Maybe in the future there will be a devoted section to the role native culture/branches contributed to the war.Consider at least 4 hours of time here if you enjoy learning new things and reading. The museum was very informative, realistic and interactive! Plenty of parking, no need to book in advance unless you want to attend a special event. The gift shop has some very professionally\neat souvenirs for all ages. ♡

Great Heritage Museum, a lot can be learned about our military and naval equipment and the history.Do not go on public holidays as the parking spots are very limited.

This place is soo amazing, took the kids ranging from 7 to 13 and all of them had a blast. Had the privilege to talk to Bob and what an amazing experience. Thank you soo much for everything. Soo much to see and so interesting.

We had a good time. The airforce part was closed, under construction, so that was a bit of a letdown as that was the main reason for visiting. However, the other parts were enjoyable, especially the medic gallery and the hangers.

Terrific place to visit and learn about the history of the Canadian Armed Forces. Large number of vehicles, especially and aircraft on static display outside (sadly, it was -10° when we were there).Special shout-out to the Cold War exhibits and Mr. McKay who led us through the exhibit of the F-86, F-104 and F-18. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, particularly about the F-104 which is one of my favourites.

Tim — Google review

I have been here so many times and the staff are great. There was a medicine of war special area set up. A doctor who was volunteering offered us a tour which was fantastic. Really enjoyed it. Then in the hangers the guys were really nice. There were two pilots and an engineer. They were friendly told us so much and even allowed us to sit in the starfighter. What a place there is so much to see and it's a hidden gem in Calgary.

Simply a treasure right in the middle of Calgary. Credit to all the curators, the museum(s) are magnificent with a tremendous collection of artifacts and a glimpse into the proud military legacy of Canada. Many stories of dedication to duty like Mike Mountain Horse. This old US Marine was really impressed

Park

Nature & Parks

Sandy Beach Park is a popular Calgary spot for picnics, strolling along the Elbow River, and swimming and rafting in the warmer months. With 33 hectares of space along the Elbow River, it's no wonder this park is a favourite for barbecuing. There are picnic areas and shelters, firepits, playgrounds, and even river access if you're looking to get adventurous between burgers.

Fantastic place to take your dog or kids for a walk when the weather gets warmer. Calgary offers such great walking trails and I find that this is one of the safest ones. the pavement is always even and there is potential for tripping. There are benches to sit so you can enjoy and afternoon lunch outside instead! try it at least once and see if you like it as much as I do.

Amy W — Google review

It's a great inner city place to dip your toes into the Elbow River to beat the heat. There is absolutely no sand here, so bring some water shoes or sandals to walk into the water which is just inches deep in mid summer. Parking down by the beach is limited so expect to park up top and walk down the gravel road on hot weekend days.

Gary F — Google review

Great place to spend with the family or friends, amazing for parties, BBQ and picnics, if you need a big space you can reserve an area.

Cronexz ( — Google review

Nice area within the city to decompress. Go for a walk by the river, exercise(bicycling or skating on paved trails- connects to the athletic park), family and friends gathering ( day use areas - bbqing and alcohol is allowed) , or just to read a book. There is also a kids' playground and designated off leashe areas. You can also go for a coffee or an ice cream to the Britannia Plaza located uphill on the west side of the river. Lots of options for parking

Hugo L — Google review

What a beautiful hidden gem of a place! We had picked up some ice cream at Village Ice Cream and while looking at Google map, we spotted this area. We are so happy that we decided to check this place out. There's a nice playground at this park, but that's not the drawing point. You can easily walk onto the Rocky beach area next to the river. The river is very shallow so there's no worry about being caught by any currents. People still launch their little rafts and float down the river. It's a great place to bring your family. There's plenty of grassy area for bbqs and picnics. Kids can frolic in the water or skip some stones. What a wonderful little place in Calgary!

Calgary offers such great walking trails and I find that this is one of the safest ones. the pavement is always even and there is potential for tripping. There are benches to sit so you can enjoy and afternoon lunch outside instead! try it at least once and see if you like it as much as I do.

This is a wonderful place to bring the family for a walk or ride a bike. Beautiful riverside location. It has many picnic sites, bbq stand, fire pits, playgrounds, pathways, seasonal washrooms and water fountain. There are plenty of green space and tall trees. It has off-leash area for dogs to enjoy too. Only four stars because we didn’t expect that the new play ground will get crowded on a Monday morning.

We went for just couple of hour and this place was so beautiful and relaxed environment. Less people good for bbq 🍗 and dog walk, if you have bunch of friends you can have small open party under tents and booking reading. I definitely try again and again.

This park was awesome and the scenery was beautiful from every path taken. Excellent for all ages including pets to enjoy the scenery, trails, play ground, picnic areas or the river itself.

This is a very nice place to visit especially in summertime where you bring dog and enjoy the clear water of elbow river. Picnic tables are plenty and some are covered. Playground for children is amazingly wide. River is so clear and good for boating and swimming too. The area is so clean and a lot of trees to rest upon a sunny day.

Beautiful to visit on your own, with family or friends. One thing that amazed me was finding barbecue grills for people with disabilities. You can also find chemical toilets.Amazing place near elbow drive.

I really like this place over. There are certain issues that needs to be addressed. One would be regarding insufficient parking, we roamed around for 30 to 40 minutes just to find a parking up the hill and then walked all the way down which is about a 5 minute walk. The other concerning thing is there is not a road that connects to the main parking lot and is filled with gravel and sand which makes the tires vulnerable to get damaged.Other than that there are pre-assigned places that you can book without any issues. Overall a great place to visit

I love this place, so quite and the tall tress give me peaceful feelings, I get to hug them 🤗.I hope people don't leave their garbage there, many times I found cans by the river. There is parking lot, there is shallow elbow river, there is a few saskat Berry trees, snobbery, wild flower shrubs, narrow paths among these plants, and by the parking lot play ground, in that areas there is always kids playing till sunset.

What a beautiful hidden gem of a place! We had picked up some ice cream at Village Ice Cream, and while looking at Google Maps, we spotted this area. We are so happy that we decided to check this place out. There's a nice playground at this park, but that's not the drawing point. You can easily walk onto the Rocky Beach area next to the river. The river is very shallow, so there's no worry about being caught by any currents. People still launch their little rafts and float down the river. It's a great place to bring your family. There's plenty of grassy areas for bbqs and picnics. Kids can frolic in the water or skip some stones. What a wonderful little place in Calgary!

For one it's not sandy, it's full of gravels and rocks, but I already knew that before visiting. But even so, the place is beautiful - a great spot for picnic and meditation. There's also a cool playground that my 8-year-old loves. Said it's one of his fave playgrounds.
